Looking Ahead: How Occupational Therapists Can Contribute to The Behavior Management Reform

It has come to my attention that behavior is not an easy topic. Occupational therapists can play a crucial role in a whole team approach to behavior management in schools. We have a unique lens through which we see behavior. We look at sensory processing, interoception, mindfulness, awareness, coping strategies, internal and external triggers, and skills. 

Please keep an eye out for the Looking Ahead protocol schools can use to address behavior challenges in school based on a multi-disciplinary, whole team approach.
